I feel it would extremely remiss of me not to shout from the rooftops how good a band Bumblebee Honey are.
My Wife, Lisa and I got married on 5th July 2008 in Italy. Ok heres what happened. We currently live in Melbourne…. She’s Australian, I’m Irish. We decided to get married in Italy because (i) Lisa’s parents are from there and haven’t been back in 30 years and (ii) It would be easier for my family and friends to pop on a flight to Italy rather than Australia.
Bumblebee Honey were the band we selected because they * Were always very quick in getting back to us * They make quick decisions and stand by them, ie committing to go to Italy, get their equipment there without laying any fuss back on us about the logistics and of course having a great presence and assurance in making sure they can confirm all the music you want, they can deliver on.
Will and Elizabeth, were always on the end of the phone and their emails to confirm songs and the sequence of the day events. They played for us during our Wedding Ceremony, beautiful Hymns, Irish Traditional songs and a bit of POP at the end. Will sang a wonderful Solo that had all the mammies crying!!!!
They then raced across the road to set up for the guests arriving at the Reception area and entertained them all, while we were getting our photographs taken, encouraging song requests all the time and engaging with the crowd immediately which helped them relax and set the tone for the day. At 9pm it was ‘blast off’ and it would be an understatement to say the floor was packed immediately.
They played all types of music to suit all tastes, they have great range and depth in their voices but most importantly they deliver on what they say they can do. Their ability to read and engage with the crowd had everyone smiling from ear to ear and needless to say there were a lot of sore limbs the next morning.
They also have a few ‘party tricks’ which were very very entertaining ( I won’t divulge them here, for fear of their competition latching on to them) but they went down a treat with the Guests. All in all a great experience from a very professional outfit who enjoy what they do.
